Stress, coping och utbrändhet en undersökning av anställda

Folkman and Lazarus (1984) categorized all coping strategies into two general domains: problem-focused and emotion-focused coping. Problem-focused coping refers to a coping style that directly aims to change the source of stress (stressor). This can be done through planning, confrontation, and consequent problem-solving. Stress has been defined traditionally either as a stimulus, often referred to as a stressor, that happens to the person such as a laboratory shock or loss of a job, or as a response characterized by physiological arousal and negative affect, especially anxiety.

The primary subscales consist of specific coping strategies people use in response to stressful events.
